Nunchaku And Nunchucks

Nunchaku, otherwise known as nunchucks, are training weapons that originate from Okinawa, Japan. Nunchaku can be used to improve martial arts training from fixing your posture to helping you develop quick hand movements.

Martial Arts Nunchaku

Nunchucks are often used in more intense training sessions or hands-on fights, so, to practice more safely, some nunchaku are made from foam instead of wood. 

This Foam Cushion Grip Practice Nunchaku has a durable cord and a dragon design on all of the different-colored models. The foam padding provides comfort while learning how to strike and while being struck. Plus, the long handles are durably constructed and the nylon string will last throughout your long training sessions.

When you’re ready to take your nunchaku training to the next level, order the Octagon Demo Nunchaku. These nunchucks are octagonal and made from hardwood that is strung together with a reinforced nylon cord. Use these nunchucks for demonstration teams or beginner training. 

Martial Arts Speedchucks

Speedchucks are another type of nunchaku that are smaller and designed to move more quickly than standard nunchucks. Having a faster strike speed allows for more intense strikes and can help you to refine the hand movement skills you developed early on in your training with regular nunchucks. 

Our collection includes several different speedchuck options including ProForce® Super Speedchucks. These speedchucks are made from high-quality, lightweight wood and feature the ProForce® logo. They are designed with 2-½” 3 link chains that are securely attached to each speedchuck. Each pair only weighs 0.3 ounces and you can choose from a handful of different colors. You can also order a more colorful pair from our line of Super Speedchucks II that are made with the same emphasis on the quality and ease of use martial arts training requires.

Any pair of nunchucks or speedchucks can be paired with AWMA® training apparel or equipment. Please note nunchaku cannot be shipped to the City of Philadelphia or Massachusetts due to legal regulations.
